What is the Tiny Collage Collaboration?
The Tiny Collage Collaboration is an art initiative hosted by The Yellow Key Collaborative, inviting you to explore your creativity in a fun, low-pressure way.
When is it happening?
This event runs throughout the entire month of February 2025.
Who can participate?
Anyone! This creative collaboration is open to:
Patrons of The Yellow Key Collaborative
Community members
Friends and family, even those out of state
Work colleagues
Anyone interested in exploring their creativity!
If you’re willing and curious, you’re invited!
Why Participate?
Creativity is a powerful tool for mental well-being. Engaging in creative activities can:
Calm your nervous system
Help with emotional healing
Boost problem-solving skills
Provide a sense of joy and fulfillment
Encourage mindfulness
Common Fears About Creativity:
Many people avoid creative activities because of these common concerns:
I’ll do it wrong.
I’ll look foolish.
It won’t be good enough.
I don’t have time.
I’m not artistic.
I’ll feel embarrassed.
People often fear the blank page, worrying that nothing will come to them. Others believe that creativity must serve a purpose—like producing something to hang on a wall or gift to someone—to be worth their time. But creativity for the sake of the process itself is incredibly valuable!
What Makes the Tiny Collage Collaboration Special?
This initiative is process-focused, meaning the goal is to enjoy creating without worrying about the outcome. Instead of focusing on perfection, it encourages curiosity and self-expression. Ask yourself:
What will happen when I start?
How will I feel?
Do I even have materials?
When was the last time I used a glue stick?
How to Participate
