Therapeutic Style
My therapeutic approach is multifaceted. People and situations are complex and unique. One size does not fit all.
I believe that the therapeutic relationship needs to be one of genuine connection and flexibility. Sometimes information and insight is not enough, you need someone to translate your newfound insight and understanding into actions you can take in your daily life.
This is the part of therapy I thoroughly enjoy, helping clients bridge the gap between insight and noticeable change in their every day lives. I will help you experiment with concrete action steps so you can get unstuck to live better, feel better and move forward.
I recognize that to participate in counseling, you are choosing to invest your money and your time. I don’t take that lightly. During our time together, we will consistently evaluate your personal goals to make sure you get what you need emotionally, physically and spiritually from therapy.

I’ve also been featured on the Practice of the Practice Podcast and the Imperfectly Thriving podcast.
Professional Background
I spent the first half of my career working in the public school system, first as an elementary education teacher with special education certifications and then as a school social worker. I’ve worked at every level in the school system from preschool to alternative programing for high schoolers. My background working in the school system gave me valuable insight into the myriad of challenges families face. I'm grateful for that experience as it allows me a broader perspective as I work with clients in my private practice work at the Yellow Key Collaborative.
